The Helderberg area of Stellenbosch where we are located, is well known for producing some of the highest quality wines in South Africa and because of this is referred to as the golden triangle of Stellenbosch's wine making region. The farms that we visit are all unique, from grand estates to boutique producers and historic homesteads, the wine tractor gives you an opportunity to visit a variety of beautiful estates each with their own unique character and charm.

The wine tractor takes you on a un-hurried journey along the back roads, through the vineyards, past the award winning nguni cattle and blue cranes giving you a unique perspective that only a tractor can. At every estate the you hop off at you have 75 minutes to enjoy a wine tasting or a snack in one of the many restaurants available, before the tractor picks you up to take you to the next estate. Along the way, our knowledgeable guides will entertain you and teach you interesting facts about the area and the wine making process in general.

Most of our guides come to us from the Pinotage Youth development agency, a NGO that trains under-privileged youth in the area on how to enter into the wine industry. Many of our guides are qualified wine-makers who can share their passion and knowledge with our guests, teaching you interesting facts about wines and the wine making process.
